2016 - 2017 Season Tournament #2

Another fun one in the books.  We had 27 players this week.  Things got started early as Linda shipped Mitch to the rail in the first round.  Matt F's quad aces managed to put a big dent in table three sending both Kelly and Bob L packing on the same hand.  The final table was seated when Ron T was sent away by Steve S.  This weeks bubble boy ended up being Brian T ousted by Sharon B.  Fifth place went to Dave M who got busted out by Bob S on his way to running the table.  Matt F was next to go followed by Steve S in third and Sharon in second.  Congrats to this weeks winner Bob S who dominated late busting out 5 of the final 7 including all of the last four.

Next month the bounties will be on Bob as the previous winner and Karl as the current points leader,

2016 - 2017 Season Tournament #1

Great start to the new season, our eighth if I'm not mistaken.  We have a full 30 members for the first time ever.  The first tournament had 26 players, of course one of us decided to only stick around for two or three hands (but we won't mention Kelly's name).  The final table was made up of Suzy (nice job for a first timer), Mike, Janine, myself, Mitch (this months bubble boy), Dave finishing fifth and Matt in fourth.  It came down to three familiar faces at the end with Steve going out in third and Bob D and Karl playing one showdown hand to decide the winner while chopping the money.  Karl's Q,J held up an earned him the first place points.  Congrats to both Karl and Steve who managed to eliminate 9 of the 25 knock out victims between them.  The bullseye and double bonus points will be on Karl next month!

2013-2014 Tournament #2

The second tournament of the season is in the books and it was a fun one, well at least for some of you.  The tournament got off to a fast start with Tom sending Steve S packing just twenty minutes into the night.  Tom's glory was short lived as he was sent to the rail by Dave D before round two was in the books.  I was next to go, also at the hands of Dave.  At this point it was becoming obvious that Dave was the ultimate luck box tonight (just kidding Dave, sort of).  Mike S playing for the first time this season sent Kevin C to a very early seat at the cash table.  Darlene was next to go at the hands of Ron T.  That put two of the final three from last week on the rail very early in the night.  Mitch C and Matt F when next to go, both at the hands of Bob D.  Kelly M sent her husband away next making for an interesting ride home I'm sure.  Bob D and Dave D spent the night doing their best Miley Cyrus impressions playing the wrecking balls with six knockouts each on the night.

The final table was seated when Dave D got his fifth kill of the night taking out Karl.  From here Bob D started his assault on the final table taking down Janine, Billy W and Mike S all in a row.  Joy got in on the action sending Mark L out on the bubble.  Bob D got his sixth and final knockout of the night finishing of Derrick.  Dave D then got his sixth knockout eliminating Bob D and putting himself three handed against Joy and Kelly.  The girls teamed up on Dave and Joy eventually disposed of him.  Joy's run to the heads up battle was an amazing one being down to only 300 chips at one point at the final table.  After a great heads up battle that lasted at least 40 hands Kelly managed to come out on top and get her first league victory.  The great finishes by Dave in back to back weeks though left him in the top spot in the points.

2013-2014 Tournament #1

Okay, I'm going to try to do a better job keeping this up to date this season.  The first tournament of the season is in the books and it was an entertaining one.  It started off pretty fast and furious with Sharon getting knocked out courtesy of Steve S within seven minutes of the first deal.  A mere ten minutes later Theresa also let Steve get the best of her.  The pace started to slow down from there with only Joy getting sent to the rail in the second round.

The final table was formed when Kevin C was sent packing late in round seven by Dave M.  Everyone tightened up with only Bob S busting out in the next two rounds.  New member Dan T did a great job making it to eighth place eventually getting knocked out by Tom J.  Seventh went to Bobby N, playing for the first time in about five seasons, when Janine sent him packing.  Janine continued her destruction by sending Derrick home in sixth and on the bubble, soon followed by Dave M in fifth.  Darlene then sent Janine home in fourth leaving Tom and Darlene to try and team up on Dave D for the top spot.  The three handed battle was short lived with Darlene getting busted out in third by Dave.  Dave only needed a couple hands to finish off the win sending Tom home in second.

Interesting note, this was the second season in a row that Dave managed to win the opening tournament of the season.  It also gave Dave at least one win in four consecutive seasons.

2012 - 2013 Tournament #3

Third tournament of the season is in the books and it was another good one.  We had 28 players include a couple of first timers.  Bob D made it to his first game of the year and left after about 45 minutes when Karen D made him the first casualty of the evening.  He was followed out the door less than two minutes later when Greg E was taken out by Bob L.  Steve S made an unusually early exit when Dave M got him soon followed by first timer Marcus H by Gary R.  Next to go was another first timer Dave W when I sent him packing.

The final table was seated when Joy C was busted out by Mike S.  The first to leave the final table was Karen D when Tom J eliminated her.  The next to go was Janine R by Matt F.  Mike S was next to go in eighth place also at the hands of Matt F.  Tom J ended up this weeks bubble boy go out in seventh, ousted by Bob L.  Darlene J held on to make the money when Matt F got her in sixth.  The last of the first timers, Tom J4th, took fifth place taken out by Steve N.  Once we got to the final four we had about the most competitive match we've ever had.  We played four handed for over 45 minutes before Bob L was finally sent home by Steve N.  I then sent Steve N to the rail in third place leaving Matt F and myself heads up.  Matt and I went back and forth for about 40 more minutes before his Q,5 was finally able to stand up and get Matt a well deserved win.

Ron T stays atop the points but Matt and I are making up ground.  Tom J is also close joining myself as the only other player to make all three final tables this season.

2012-2013 Tournament #2

Tournament number two had another crew of 26 players.  Gary R was the first one out this month when Joy C sent him packing.  The next to go was Bob S at the hands of Mike S soon followed by Jeff J by Christina M.  Next to go was previous weeks winner and current points leader Dave D.  Ron T was picked up the bonus for the knock of Dave.

We got down to the final table when Joy C was taken out by Tom J.  The knockouts at the final table came very quickly.  Steve N was taken out by Ron T, Theresa C by Mark L, me by Ron T and Karen D by Ron T all within 4 minutes.  Things certainly slowed down from here.  It took another twenty minutes before Tom J knocked out Mark L in sixth place.  Ron T took out the next two players, Darlene J in fifth and Greg E in fourth.  The final three played for over a half hour before Kelly M finally took out Tom J in third.  The heads up battle lasted another 10 minutes when Ron finally overcame Kelly for the win.

2012-2013 Tournament #1

Well the new season got off to a great start.  The first tournament had 26 players.  Bob L was the first casualty of the season getting knocked out by Tom J.  Kevin H was the next to go at the hands of Sharon B, followed quickly by Dave M and Gary R.

The final table was formed when Janine R was knocked out by Mitch C in eleventh place.  Mitch's stay at the final table was short lived when Karl M took him out in tenth.  This was the start of an assault on the final table by Karl and Dave D.  Mat K then myself and Christina M were taken down by Dave.  Next was Karl's turn, taking out Tom J then Sharon B followed by Dominic D.

The final three consisted of Mike S, Dave D and Karl M.  Karl had a huge chip lead at this point.  Dave made a little headway when he took out Mike in third.  When they got to heads up Karl had an enormous chip lead.  Dave just kept chipping away slowly at Karl's stack and eventually was able to overcome the odds and knock out Karl for the win.

Tournament #9 of Season 4

We had 27 players this week but Joy C decided to make an early exit.  Mat K got her about 25 minutes into the tournament and then he took out Bob L.  I got the next hit sending Darlene J to the rail.  Don G got a double knockout taking out Jerry T on Ron T on the same hand.  A few minutes later first timer Carl N was sent packing by me.  Theresa C took one of the extra bounties by getting Karl M.  Husband and wife, Mat and Linda K, got on a little roll taking out five in a row between them including Mark L, Dave M, Kelly M, Sharon B and Mike S.  Dom D got us down to a final table when he sent Tom J packing.

Greg E was the first gone from the final table at the hands of Kevin C.  Don G got Linda K next. I sent Kevin C home next followed by dave D getting Jeff J about three minutes after.  Don G then worked on emptying out the final table by taking down Dom D on the buble, followed by Karl M and Mat K.  The knouckout of Karl also earned Don one of the extra bounties.  Don's great run finally came to and end when Day D took him down in third leaving Dave and I heads up with me looking to go back to back.  Unfortunately about seven minutes later Dave crushed that dream and sent me packing, earning his first win of the year.

Tournament #8 of Season 4

Well we are two thirds of the way through the season and it is a tight race.  We had 34 players for this event.  Matt F was first to go when Jeff J got him.  Bob L was next and the hands of Ron T.  Sharon B finished off Joy C who was coming off her best finish of the season.  Janine R and Gary R were next both by points leader Karl M.  The extra bounty for knocking out the previous winner went to Adam B when he eliminated Mark L.  The other bounty went to Bob D when he took out Karl M.  Bob D got us down to the final table when he eliminated Jeff J in tenth.  I took out the next two, mat K then Adam B.  Next was Bob's turn getting Sharon B in 7th and on the bubble.  Jerry T interfered with mine and Bob D's party by taking out Karen D in sixth.  Fifth place went to Theresa C when I took her out.  Ron T was next to go in fourth, his best finish, when Bob got him.  Bob also took out Jerry T in third to get heads up with me.

We had a great heads up battle that lasted over 20 minutes before I was able to finally put it away for my first win this year.  I still wasn't able to overtake Karl M in the points but I made up alot of ground.

Tournament #7 of Season 4

Well we are past the half way point for the season.  We had 31 players this week including Joy's son Kevin, a first time player with us.  Ron T was first out this week when Jerry T sent him to the rail.  Steve S had one of the hottest runs I've seen in a tournament in a while.  He had three full houses before we broke down the first table.  This helped him amass a huge chip stack which would eventually carry him to the final table.  Steve also picked up the first extra bounty of the evening by eliminating the points leader Karl M.  I made it to eleventh place when Karen D got me.  The final table was set when Mat K was taken out by Bob S.  Don G was the first to exit the final table at the hands of Steve S.  Bob L was next gone also by Steve S.  Mark L picked up the second extra bonus of the week by taking out last weeks winner Joy C in seventh place.  Unfortunately for Joy this was this weeks bubble position.  The first money spot, sixth was filled by Bob S who was also taken out by Mark L.  Karen D took out the next two players,  She got Jeff J in fifth and then Gary R in fourth.  Steve S was finally gone in third at the hands of Mark L. leaving Karen and Mark heads up.  Mark had an enormous chip lead and the heads up battle lasted only about a minute and a half when Mark got his first league win.

Tournament #6 of Season 4

Well the season has reached its half way point and the points are starting to settle them selves out.  We had a few firsts this week.  I was first out, unfortunately not one of the firsts I was referring to.  I was soon followed by Dave D, Jeff J and Bob S.  One of the firsts happened when Greg E took out Tom J, Kelly M and Scott A all on the same hand.  Taking out Scott also earned him the first extra bounty of the night.  The final table was seated when Karl M was taken out by Karen D, earning her the other extra bounty.  Paul V was first to leave the final table when Joy C got him.  Next to go was Mike S also at the hands of Joy.  Bob L was next to go when Gary R took him out.  The bubble this week belonged to Karen D when Kevin C got her.  The first paid spot went to Greg E when Joy took him out.  Fifth place was claimed by Matt F when Kevin C finished him.  Fourth place went to Gary R when Mat K busted him.  The next to go was Kevin C at the hands of Joy.  Kevin's third place finish was his best of the season.  The heads up battle only lasted about four minutes when Joy eliminated Mat and took down her first victory.

Congratulations to Joy, one of the original members.  The win vaulted Joy into second place in the standings, less than a half point ahead of Dom.  Karl M is still in the lead thanks to a win, second and a fourth place finish.  19th place and 24th place are only separated by 10 points.

Tournament #5 of Season 4

Happy New Year, sorry for the slow posting of the last tournaments results.  We had 29 players last time we played.  Janine R must have had had some Christmas shopping to get done and made an early exit as the first out at the hands of Tom J.  Steve S was next out when Kevin C got him.  Ron T and Bob S were next to go.  Kevin H picked up the first of the bonus hits taking out points leader Karl M.  The knockouts came pretty evenly spaced and the final table commenced when Kevin H took out Darlene J.  Gary R was the first knocked out at the final table when Tom J got him.  Tom however was next to go when Kevin H got him, picking up the second bonus hit of the week.  Kevin wasn't done yet taking out Christina M on the bubble.  Kelly M took fifth when Jeff J finished her off.  Scott A then took out Mike S in fifth, Kevin H in fourth and Bob L in third.  When Scott A and Jeff J got heads up they decided to split the pot and just play it out for the points.  It took about 15 minutes and Scott got his first win.

This weeks bonus points will be on Scott A as the previous winner and Karl M as the still reigning points leader.

Tournament #4 of Season 4

Another one is in the books.  We had 30 players this week.  Previous champ Gary R decided he was going home first this week at the hands of Bob L.  It take almost an hour to get our first knockout which is longer than normal.  Janine R was next to go when Kevin C got his second hit of the season.  Mike S was next to go followed by first time player Eric G.  Not long after I was done when Joy C finished me off.  Sharon B was next to go when Tom J got his first of many knockouts for the night.  We got down to the final table of nine when Mat K was knocked out in tenth by Theresa C.  Steve N was the first out of the final table when Greg E got him.  From here on out it was pretty much the Tom J show.  Dom D was next to go soon followed by Paul V on the bubble, both at the doing of Tom J.  Theresa C took down the last paying spot when Tom knocked her out in sixth.  Joy C spoiled Tom's dreams of running the whole final table by knocking out Ron T in fifth.  From then on we were back to the Tom J show knocking off Karl M in fourth and collecting all the bonus points.  Joy C made a great showing hanging on to third place.  The heads up battle between Tom and Greg E was pretty short lived with Tom having most of the chips in play when they got heads up.

Tom put on one of the strongest showings we've seen knocking out 10 players.  This performance vaulted him all the way into fourth place in the standings.  Greg's second place finish makes him the highest ranking player without a win this season, sitting in fifth.  The next tournament will see Tom J with one of the bounties on his head and current points leader Karl M will have the other.

Tournament #3 of Season 4

Another great turnout with 34 players this time.  Don G decided he wasn't going to stay long this time exiting 33 minutes into the tournament when Ron T busted him out.  He was helped out the door on the third hand of the tournament by Janine R when her quad queens beat his full house and crippled his chip stack.   Bob L followed him out the door a couple of minutes later at the hands of Mark L.  Theresa C picked up the extra bounty points when she took previous points leader Linda K out in 25th.  The final table was set when Mark L was taken out by Karl M in tenth place.  The other extra bounty went to Karl M when he took out last weeks winner Dom D in ninth, the first to leave the final table.  Mike S was next to go in eighth when Theresa C got him.  That left the next out on the bubble.  This week's honor goes to Janine R who was sent to the rail by Matt F.  The first one out in the money was Theresa C when she was eliminated by Karen D.  I then managed to get the next three taking out Karen in fifth followed by Steve S in fourth then Matt F in third.  This left myself and Karl M heads up.  Our heads up battle lasted only about ten minutes when I got all my money in with 4,4 and was called by Q,J.  The flop came A,8,2 and I was feeling good.  The turn brought the Q and the river missed me with a 10 and I was done.

This was the longest final table I can remember.  The final nine were seated at 10:16 and the tournament didn't end until 12:56.  Over 2.5 hours has to be our record.  The chips stacks were very even with the final nine and it seemed every time someone got all in they caught the right card to hang on.  Steve S went from having less than a big blind to having a very strong chip stack at least four or five times.  When we play again in two weeks both the bounties will be on Karl M as the previous winner and points leader.

Tournament #2 of Season 4

Tourney two is in the books and is was another good one.  We had 31 players this week including a few first timers with us.  One of the first timers, Mitch C, decided to be the first out which was very exciting to me.  I was down to about 300 in chips and was dreading being first out two weeks in a row.  Bobby D was right behind Mitch being second out.  I was able to hang on for a while but was eventually put out of my misery in 22nd place by another new comer Steve S.

We had one of the most interesting hands of the season with seven players left.  Keep in mind that the top six make the money.  Three players were involved, Karen D, Steve S and Dominic D all moved all in.  When we turned over the cards Karen had A,A, Dom had 10,10 and Steve was a mile behind with 4,4.  Things got better in a hurry when the flop and turn came 5,6,7,8 giving Steve the straight and sending Karen to the rail on the bubble.  Oh wait we still had the river card to come and guess what, the 9 comes giving Dom the better straight, crippling Steve's chip stack and leaving Dom about 75% of the chips on the table.  It was one of the wildest swings in one hand I've seen in a long while.  From there it was basically a matter of time for Dom to start collecting the remainder of the chips at the table.  As a matter of fact he was able to eliminate the remaining players in only sixteen minutes.  Steve S went in sixth, followed by Mat K then Linda K.  Gary R hung on for a third place finish and Bob L had a great second place finish.  This was Dom's first league win.  The amazing part was that Dom and Karen combined to eliminate 12 of the last 13 players.

We also had a rules question come up during a hand that two people at the table said they new the answer to.  We went with their interpretation and moved on.  Later in the week it was brought to my attention that the ruling may have been incorrect.  The hand went as follows:

Small blind posted $25
Big blind (Jerry T) posted $50
Steve S raises to $100
Paul B goes all-in with $120
Greg E(not a blind) wants to raise to $300 with KK to scare away Steve (who had A-4).

Greg was told he could not re-raise because the previous raise did not meet the minimum raise.

After further review it looks like Greg should have been able to re-raise.  The rule that I am citing is from Roberts rules of poker section 14:

3. All raises must be equal to or greater than the size of the previous bet or raise on that betting round, except for an all-in wager. Example: Player A bets 100 and player B raises to 200. Player C wishing to raise must raise at least 100 more, making the total bet at least 300. A player who has already acted and is not facing a fullsize wager may not subsequently raise an all-in bet that is less than the minimum bet or less than the full size of the last bet or raise. (The half-the-size rule for reopening the betting is for limit poker only.)

Because Greg had not acted he should have been allowed to make his raise.  I believe the rule that the other referred to was from limit play.  Here is Roberts rules section 3:

7. In limit play, an all-in wager of less than half a bet does not reopen the betting for any player who has already acted and is in the pot for all previous bets. A player who has not yet acted (or had the betting reopened to him by another player’s action), facing an all-in wager of less than half a bet, may fold, call, or complete the wager. An all-in wager of a half a bet or more is treated as a full bet, and a player may fold, call, or make a full raise. (An example of a full raise on a $20 betting round is raising a $15 all-in bet to $35.) Multiple all-in wagers, each of an amount too small to individually qualify as a raise, still act as a raise and reopen the betting if the resulting wager size to a player qualifies as a raise.

My apologies to Greg.  In the future if there is a question and someone disagrees with the answer let me know and we will pause the clock and research the rule before moving on.

Tournament #1 of Season 4

The first tournament of the new season took place Saturday and it was another good one.  We had 22 players including a few first time players.  I lasted a mere 28 minutes when my full house of kings over queens was rivered by Bob D's aces full.  Ominous start to my season.  Mark L was next to go when another first timer Karl M sent him packing.  After a few more bust outs Tom J was taken out in 15th by Linda K collecting her first hit of the evening.  When Adam B took out Janine R in 11th place the final table was now set.  Don G went out on the bubble in sixth place at the hands of Adam B.  With everyone left in the money it the became the Linda K show.  She proceeded to run the table dispatching of Adam in 5th, Bob D in fourth, Greg E in third.  After a great heads up battle with Karl M, Linda's A,5 held up against the Q,J and we had our first winner of the season.

We do still have a couple of open seats for full league membership if anyone is interested.  We will also have a few open seats available each week for non-league members.  These will be available on a fist come first served basis.  I think I have my invitation software all figured out for this season so things should be back to normal starting next time.

Changes for Season 4

I have posted the schedule and rules for the 2011-2012 season.  There are a few changes.  First off, if you do not arrive by the start of the third blind level your chips will be removed from the table.  This gives you 50 minutes to arrive after the start of the tournament.  There will be NO exceptions to this rule.  The weekly buyin will be $25 with $20 going into the weekly pot and $5 going into the year end pot.  ALL league members that play in a minimum of eight regular season tournaments will be eligible for the final tournament.  The top 20 in points will be eligible for the final tournament regardless of how many regulars season tournaments they play in.  The 20th place finisher in points will start with 1500 in chips and each position above this will receive an additional 100 chips.  21st place and below will be penalized 500 chips and have a starting stack of 1000 chips.  I have had alot of interest from some new players this year.  I am going to add a fourth table this year so we can accommodate the additional players.

I look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

Season 3 Championship

First off, sorry to Jeff J and everyone else for not posting this right after the championship tournament.  Summer got in the way and I never got it done.  The night didn't last too long for Kevin C who was first to go when Matt F took him out.  Karen D then took out Mark L.  The next bust out didn't happen for almost an hour when Jeff J took me out.  It has been too long to remember but I am sure I had the best hand and he just sucked out.  Karen D continued her rampage taking out the next three players in a row, Tom J, Adam B and Paul V.  The final table was seated when Greg E was knocked out in eleventh by Karen D.  Christina M was the first to leave the final table when Will M took her out.  Jerry T was next to go, eliminated by Dom D.  With eight players left Jeff J went on the most amazing run we've ever had in the league by running the table and knocking out the other seven players to win the final tourney.  He started with Mat K and then got Gary R next.  Karen D was next to go in sixth place and unfortunately for her on the bubble.  Matt F was next going out in fifth and securing the last paying spot.  Will M was next to go followed soon after by Dom D.  That left Steve N and Jeff J heads up.  If I recall the heads up battle only lasted a hand or two and Jeff J was our new champion.  Congratulations to Jeff who had an amazing overall season.  Also thanks to everyone that plays each week and makes this league so much fun.

Tournament #12

Well tournament #12 is over and we had some big moves in the standings.  In this week's invitation I said you better bring your game if you had one.  Greg E definitely brought his.  Everyone was playing fairly tight and it took an hour and twenty minutes for the first bust out.  Mark L got taken out by Jeff J, the first of his two hits, halfway through the third round.  It only took six more minutes and Kevin H was sent packing by Mat K.  Five minutes after that Scott C was knocked out by Jerry T.  This was one of the biggest bust outs of the night with Scott entering the night in 20th place, the last spot to make the final tournament.  This left the door wide open for Greg E, Joy C and Bob L who started the night in 21st, 22nd and 24th respectively.  Kelly M went out early in the 9th round at the hands of Steve N.  Two minutes later Kevin C was taken out by me in 14th place.  That one spot earned him an additional 0.97 points.

The final table was made when I managed to take Will M out in 11th place.  Within 9 minutes of seating the final table Linda K, Matt F and Joy C managed to get busted out.  Jeff J was next to go when I got my 7th kill of the night.  Unfortunately it was my last.  The next to go was Bob L, this weeks bubble boy.  I took down the last money spot, fifth, when Greg E took me out.  Next to go was Gigi G, taken out in fourth also by Greg E.  Greg E, Mat K and Steve N played an amazing 22 minutes three handed before Greg was finally able to dispose of Mat K, who at one point was down to only 1K in chips with the blinds at 500/1000.  Getting to third place was one of the best comebacks this year.  After nine minutes heads up Steve N was taken out by Greg, who took out the final four players of the night.

With his win Greg vaulted from 21st to 10th in points.  Oh and if you were wondering whether that one extra spot that Kevin picked up really mattered, he beat out Bob L for the twentieth and final spot in the big tournament by 0.75 points.  Amazing that an entire 12 game season can come down to 0.75 points.

Great job to everyone who won this year.  I managed to hang on and win the overall points total.  Mat K, who finished 7th overall was the highest ranking player without a win this season.  Jeff J, Gary R and myself were all two time winners this season.  I had the most hits with 24 followed by Jeff J with 20, Will M with 18, Mat K with 17 and Tom J and Christina M with 15 each.

I look forward to seeing everyone on June 11th for the final tournament.  If anyone else wants to come and use the third table for a cash game or to route for, or against, anyone let me know.

Sunday, May 15, 2011

Tournament number 11 is in the books and we have another first time winner.  We had 29 players this time.  The points standings are getting extremely interesting.  Basically if you win you are almost guaranteed a seat in the final tournament.  As a matter of fact, except for the bottom few points places a second place finish should get you in.  As for this tournament Blake M was first out when he flopped trips but Tom J flopped a better set.  Scott C was next to go when Christina M got her first of 6 hits on the evening.  As players continued to exit Will M continued to accumulate an impressive chip stack.

When Matt F took out Darlene J in 11th we got down to the final table.  Kevin H was the first to leave the final table when Mat K sent him packing.  Next to go was Mat F, taken out by Jerry T.  Eighth place went to Greg E as Christina M took him out.  Mark L became this weeks bubble boy getting busted out in seventh by Mat K.  Josh G home from college for the weekend and playing for the first time this season took down the last money spot getting ousted in sixth by Mat K.  Jerry T was next out in fifth when Will M took him out.  Fourth place belonged to Christina M as Mike S got his second hit of the night.

When we got three handed Will M had a pretty substantial chip lead.  Over thirty minutes of three way play saw the chips move there way around the table before Mike S was finally taken out by Mat K.  The heads up match lasted about 25 hands when Will M finally managed to take Mat K out.  Will got his first win and solidified his spot in the final tournament.
